The technology have changed our lives in many ways, for better and for worse.
It makes our lives easier and more organized when using the computers and other appliances, the healthcare has improved and many other ways our lives have developed a lot.
But on the other hand our social lives has been hurt and changed in a negative way. Today we use our computers and cellphones sending messages and "hide behind the screen" instead of meeting your friends. In addition, kids many times prefer to sit by the computer or TV instead of playing outside with friends. And that, I think is the worst that technology has brought to our lives.
What are you thankful for?
I'm thankful for the opportunity to come to St. John's University to improve my english before I start my bachelor's degree. I decided that I want to study and play volleyball in the US very late and I didn't have time to improve my english before the SAT test. My english was not good enough at that point and I almost missed this opportunity. So I feel very thankful that I got here, to St. John's, to take part of this program.

A famous place in my homecountry Israel, that I recommend for the readers to visit, is The Dead Sea.
The Dear Sea is an extremely salty lake and has been estimated to be the second saltiest water in the world. The high level of salt makes your body float on the water, and that is I think, what it's most famous for.
In addition, Dead Sea is the lowest place in the world situated on the border between Israel and Jordan. It has been a candidate for one of the natural wonders of the world.
Finally, I recommend the readers to visit Israel and go to the Dead Sea, because it's a great tourist area with a lot of hotels to stay in and to take hikes in the surrounding mountains.

My first day at St. John's University was very exciting, but scarry and emotional too. I came from Israel just one week before the school started, so everything here is new for me, the people, the language, the culture and even the weather. In addition, I didn't go to school for two years because in Israel we must to go to the army after high school, so it was strange to sit in the class again.
Additionally, the university is very big and it took me a few days to remember where the classrooms or the gym are.
Finally, I think it's going to be a year of hard work and great achievements.

1 / 1
If you could create a monster what would it look like? What would you name it? What types of things would it do to scare people? Where does the monster live? How would it behave? Tell me everything about the monster. Draw a picture or upload a picture.
If I could create a monster it would look very big, tall, and strong, with angry eyes, and pointed teeth. I would name it Steven the evil tree man, it lives in a cave in a forest. It is mean, grumpy, and screams and yells “AARRGH” at everybody all day long.
